Help Migratory Birds … Help to Plant Trees!

American Bird Conservancy and Black Swamp Bird Observatory are teaming up to support bird conservation during the 2015 Biggest Week in American Birding. This year, the festival suggests a $10-per-person donation as part of the registration process; those who want to give without attending can contribute via this donation page.
Last year's "Save the Golden-Wing" project raised more than $10,000 to plant trees in Nicaragua's El Jaguar Reserve, a prime wintering location for Golden-winged Warbler. This year, contributions will support reforestation across multiple locations, benefiting Cerulean Warblers and many other species.
The Cerulean Warbler was formerly one of the most abundant breeding warblers in the Ohio and Mississippi River valleys. It's now one of the country's most endangered migrants, with a population that has decreased by almost 70 percent since 1966.
ABC has worked with local communities to plant more than 3.5 million trees and shrubs across Latin America. Every $10 you contribute will continue to support our reforestation efforts, creating more habitat for the birds we love and helping to mitigate climate change.
