Support Enhanced US-Israel Strategic Partnership
Dear [Decision Maker],
I am writing to urge your support for an important bill that will strengthen United States-Israel strategic cooperation in the face of growing threats in an already volatile region.
The United States-Israel Strategic Partnership Act of (S. 462) enshrines into law that Israel is a "major strategic partner" of the United States. It also expands U.S.-Israeli cooperation in science, defense, intelligence, homeland security, energy, and trade. The U.S.-Israel friendship has been cherished by generations of Americans and Israelis and this legislation further reinforces our shared commitment to a lasting, just and secure peace between a thriving Israel and its neighbors.
Both Congress and the Administration have recognized the unique security threats and challenges facing Israel and have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to a strong US-Israel strategic partnership. This measure reaffirms that commitment and strengthen strategic and missile defense cooperation with Israel for the sake of both American and Israeli security interests.
Sincerely,[Your Name] [Your Address] [City, State ZIP]
