Tell Congress: Immigration Reform Cannot Wait

Ask your House Members to pass immigration reform that combines border enforcement with a realistic path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants. A majority of Americans support giving undocumented immigrants a path to citizenship, and the Senate has already passed a bill that ADL applauded. It's time for the House of Representatives to act.

Tell your Representative the time to fix our broken system is now and millions of undocumented immigrants living in limbo cannot wait.

Vote Today on Comprehensive Immigration Reform

Dear [Decision Maker],

I am writing to ask for your support for in passing immigration reform that reflects the best of America's founding ideals by combining border enforcement with a clear path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants already living in our communities.

The American people overwhelmingly support immigration reform with a path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants and are eager for Congress to act. The Senate voted last summer to pass bipartisan legislation (S.744). Now, it is the House's turn to pass immigration reform that combines border enforcement with reform of the legal immigration system and a realistic path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants.

I urge you to reject enforcement only approaches such as the SAFE Act (H.R. 2278) and to support a roadmap to citizenship for undocumented Americans living in the U.S. that will allow immigrants to come out of the shadows to contribute legally to society, and to stop living in fear of deportation. We need members of both parties in both the House of Representatives and the Senate to work together this year to ensure that our immigration policy upholds America's highest ideals.

We all have family who once came to the United States seeking a better life, eager to become part of the American fabric. I urge you to work towards a vote on comprehensive immigration reform that will make the American dream a reality for the millions of individuals who are already part of our communities and contributing to American society.

Sincerely,
