Marching Murphys

Hello Family and Friends!

The Marching Murphys are excited to be participating in our 17th Lupus Research Alliance DC Walk on October 20th, 2018!

If you're interested in joining us to promote lupus awareness and raise critical funds for lupus research, then we would love to have you join us at the new Walk location this year - National Harbor!  However, if you're unable to attend the Walk on October 20th, you can still have an impact on this important cause by making a charitable contribution. To help our team reach our fundraising goal, simply click below to make your donation.

Whatever you give will go a long way! Since the Lupus Research Alliance Board of Directors covers all fundraising and admnistrative costs, 100% of your gift will be used to support the most innovative and promising lupus research programs.

Lupus is a painful autoimmune disease that affects millions of Americans and even more worldwide.  Lupus can cause a plethora of ailments including kidney failure, heart disease, high blood pressure, vascular problems, and even premature death. Unfortunately, lupus presents many complexities and barriers that have prevented scientists from finding a cure. Because no two cases are exactly the same and its symptoms mimic those of other diseases, the exact cause of lupus is unknown and it is very difficult to diagnose.

But, there is hope. The Lupus Research Alliance leads the quest to free the world of this autoimmune disease through the power of scientific research. The Lupus Research Alliance has commited $200 million to lupus research, making it the largest private funder of lupus research in the world.

Thank you very much for your support, which will bring hope to the millions of people worldwide who are suffering from lupus, and to those who are helping their family members battle the disease.

Hope to see you on the 20th!

Gail, Brendan, Ian, and Keira
