Ironmanda vs HIV/AIDS

I'm at it again! This year, I'm racing my 8th Chicago Triathlon race, my 3rd full Ironman race (in Louisville, KY), and raising money for Team to End AIDS for the 7th year in a row.

As many of you know, my husband, Art Moswin, is a physician specializing in HIV/AIDS at two clinics on Chicago's south side. Both clinics rely on funding from the AIDS Foundation of Chicago to provide comprehensive care to people living with HIV/AIDS. His dedication to fighting HIV/AIDS inspired me to join Team to End AIDS 6 years ago, and I continue to be passionate about the cause.

HIV and AIDS are not in the news much these days, but an estimated 28,000 people throughout Chicago are living with HIV and need equitable access to services, such as housing, health care and case management, in order to stay healthy. That's why I'm racing with TEAM TO END AIDS (T2) in the Chicago Triathlon on August 25, 2019. T2 is training me to cross the finish line while raising funds to support the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC), which connects people to the services they need and is working with other organizations throughout the state to get Illinois to reach zero new HIV transmissions by 2030.

In 2016 alone, 839 Chicagoans were diagnosed with HIV. While this is the lowest number of new HIV transmissions in years, many more still don't know they are living with the virus. I am committed to swimming, biking, and running the distance in August to raise awareness and eradicate the stigma attached to HIV, all while benefiting a cause I am passionate about.

Help me cross the finish line while helping thousands of people across Illinois! Donate to my T2 campaign today. Just click the DONATE TO ME button on the right.
