Triathlon to Fight Cancer
Happy 2012 and thank you for visiting my website!
My name is Sabrina Simpson. I am 15 years old and I am a sophomore at Durham Academy in Durham, North Carolina. This will be my 11th Annual Challenge to raise money for charity. In the past, I always ran a long distance challenge in order to raise money for some kind of Cancer Research.
This year, along with last year, I decided to challenge myself with something a little different...a triathlon. As in past years, I would like to bring awareness to cancer, the killing disease that has affected so many people in our lives. I have lost my grandfather, and my aunt Lydia to cancer. Now, I have friends, young and old who are fighting this disease which attacks different organs in different people. This is why I am so passionate about raising money for Cancer Research! I would like to ask for your help in reaching my goal for 2012 of raising $2000 for the scientists to do research and find a cure for this awful disease. Your support in fighting cancer is very much needed. Please help by donating to the American Institute for Cancer Research here on this page.
I plan to do the Ramblin Rose Triathlon in Raleigh on Sunday, May 20, 2012. The website for this triathlon is http://www.endurancemag.com/raleigh-home. Please help me achieve my goal by donating! I hope to not only improve my time, but raise even more money for cancer research this year. We all know some one's life whose has been affected by this horrible disease!
With much gratitude,
