Won't you join us?
There’s still no cure, so we’re still here! Won’t you lace up your sneakers and join us for our 29th year?
The Walk and Run has a NEW Date and TIME and we are super excited to announce that we will have a Music Festival after the Walk!
Please join us on Sunday, September 29, 2019 for the largest HIV/AIDS fundraiser in the Southeast. Here's what you need to know:
Walker and Runner registration opens at 10:00 am
Opening Ceremony and remarks begin at 11:00 am
Run starts at 11:30 am with the Walk stepping off at 11:45 am
Music Festival from 2 - 4 pm
We’re calling ALL Runners, Walkers and Volunteers to join us as ‘Change Agents’ to help us raise over $750,000 of critical funds needed for our 9 participating local HIV/AIDS service organizations. Your support WILL make a difference as we try to move the needle closer to zero infections. Every dollar raised supports people living with HIV/AIDS right here in our Metro Atlanta communities.
Supporting our efforts is easy. You can Register today as an Individual, a Team or as a Volunteer! You can Fundraise as a Walker, Runner or Virtual Participant!
On this day, Piedmont Park will be transformed into a community festival with live music and entertainment, food trucks, beverages, the AIDS Memorial Quilt display, free health information and so much more.
We hope you will join us on our familiar 3.2-mile scenic run/walk through the historic Piedmont Park & Midtown Atlanta neighborhoods! Afterward, please stay and enjoy the Music Festival!
There will also be free and confidential rapid HIV testing available throughout the day. Did you know? “HIV testing is important for both treatment and prevention efforts. Yet, 14% of those infected with HIV are unaware they are infected. New HIV diagnoses are concentrated primarily in large U.S. metropolitan areas, with Miami, Orlando and ATLANTA topping the list of the areas most heavily burdened.” (KFF.org)
OUR WORK IS NOT YET, DONE.
We need to remain committed to the cause.
Please continue to volunteer.
Continue to fundraise & donate.
With your help we can make a difference.
