Welcome to My Personal Page
I am walking/running and raising awareness and money for the 29th annual AIDS Walk Atlanta & 5K Run on Sunday, September 29. This is my 10th+ year. Last year was a light year, but I am back in full force this year and I hope together we can have another $15,000+ year.
Since last year’s fundraiser, I have graduated with my MLIS. My new title at Georgia Public Library Service is "Chief Financial Officer & Community Engagement Librarian." My dream is to work with libraries on exciting new ways to engage communities. Each Public Library is different because they are reflections of many different communities. It is a challenging role, but I am looking forward to it. I will also continue to manage the State Grants Program which provides that Georgia has at least one certified librarian in every single library system along with money for materials and operations. I am thankful to work in a state that values libraries!
I also have a new oven. All donations of $50+ will go into a drawing to win a bundt cake baked by Christopher! ***Shipping may be extra :)
I hope you will join me for this journey for another year. Thank you for your friendship and support. You are the reason I press on.
Much Love! <3
Did you know that the strongest concentrations of HIV/AIDS cases in Georgia are found in Fulton, Dekalb and Clayton Counties? And, metro Atlanta has the fourth-highest HIV rate of major US cities.
Your generous support makes it possible for to provide prevention education and direct services for people who are living with HIV.
Here's to helping the communities of greater Atlanta achieve a healthier lifestyle, fight stigma and moving the needle towards zero infections, by knowing your status and for hopes of healthier generations to come.
People from all walks of life will help to change the story of HIV in our lifetime. Thank you for supporting me with your donation!
