The Congressional Kidney Caucus was founded in 2002 to educate Members of Congress and the American people about chronic kidney disease and the role of the federal government in providing care to the millions of Americans suffering from kidney disease.  Today, the bipartisan Caucus continues to advocate on behalf kidney patients and raise awareness in Congress of the need for the early detection and prevention of chronic kidney disease.  Congressman Jim McDermott (D-WA) and Congressman Tom Marino (R-PA) currently serve as the Co-Chairs of the Caucus.
