 Please introduce yourself – Name, role and tenure at Fidelity? 

Sean Downey, Vice President – Technology Risk in Global Business Services. I’ve been with Fidelity for almost 16 years.

Why are you volunteering for the ALS ice bucket challenge? 

Having done the ice bucket challenge last summer, this event sounded like a fun idea that continues to raise awareness for ALS and hope.

Why is it important to you to do volunteer work? 

I think it’s important, and grounding, to step back and help other people, causes and charities.  We are all pretty lucky to work at a company like Fidelity that provides us with the opportunities to give back.

Any advice to potential future volunteers?  

There are a ton of ways to volunteer and support charities – start with the ones that resonate with you and also look for the opportunity to have some fun with friends and colleagues while you’re at it.
