Racing 4 Rick World Cup ChallengeWelcome to our new ALS fundraising effort known as the "Racing 4 Rick World Cup Challenge"!!
We are so excited to be putting on this totally unique fundraiser, which will be a 12 week racing simulation series (June 17 to September 2, 2017), using iRacing's legendary Lotus 49. The money that we raise will go towards a mission that we can all get behind - a world without ALS.
So why the name "Racing 4 Rick"? We wanted to make this series something a little more personal for all the race fans out there, so we decided to dedicate this series to someone who has been a huge race fan all of his life, named Rick Emerson, who has been battling his own case of ALS for over 4 years now. Rick is a close personal friend of the promoters of this series, and although the money raised will not go straight to Rick, he is one of the many thousands of patients with ALS who have benefited greatly by the efforts of the ALS Association.
You can join us in this fight any number of ways:
1) If you hope to someday see a cure for ALS, please watch our series via Youtube on the "Global SimRacing Channel" (www.youtube.com/user/GSRCBroadcasting) and help us get the word out about this race series (share links on Facebook, and email friends & family).
2) If you're a sim racer with a membership to iRacing, you can join this series and compete to not only win races, but compete to raise the most donations (prizes for both!).
3) Donate directly to this page in honor of Rick and others who have been diagnosed with this horrible disease.
