Hey everyone. This year I am participating in No Shave November, and as many of you know, I can grow a full beard pretty fast!

As many of you also know, I am a high school history teacher. I am going to let my students donate money, and the student that donates the most will get to shave my beard in any crazy design they want on Tuesday December 1st.

All money donated will benefit the Texas Chapter of the ALS Association, which helps fund ALS research and provide assistance to people and families affected by ALS. My goal is $500.

ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig's Disease, is a motor neuron disease. It is very rare, but usually fatal when diagnosed. It affects men at a slightly higher rate than women.
