Welcome to Classics for a Cause
Thank you for helping me raise crucial funds to defeat ALS!
The ALS Association’s goal is to make ALS livable for everyone, everywhere, until it is cured. I experienced firsthand the impact the ALS Association can have and what an amazing resource they can be while my dad was sick with ALS. They provided medical equipment, resources, and invaluable information that helped us to navigate his medical care and keep him independent as long as possible. It has been over a year since he passed, and even now the ALS Association still reaches out to let me and my family know about upcoming grief support group meetings they offer.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. There is currently no cure.
My dad, Denny, loved to sing and play music. He sang and played in a local band called the Escorts and later Sunrise. He also sang in his church's choir for 20+ years. He still sang as loudly as he could after ALS began to affect his neck and voice. So, I thought, what better way to honor him and raise funds for the ALS Association than to have a "charity jam"!
That is why I started this fundraiser. Your support will allow The ALS Association to continue leading the fight against ALS in research, advocacy, and care services nationwide.
Will you donate today to help defeat ALS?
