A tribute for our beautiful Pat
Thank you for visiting our tribute page for our beautiful wife, mother, and grandmother, Pat Bozza, and helping us raise crucial funds to support The ALS Association and their goal to make ALS livable for everyone, everywhere, until it is cured.
Pat's love for her family motivated her to do everything possible to fight the Bulbar onset ALS. Her love, with the support of her family, friends, The ALS Association, and the ALS Clinic at Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale allowed her to battle longer than expected, living for 39 months when the average life expectancy for Bulbar onset ALS is 18 months.
Everyone who met Pat, at church, at doctor's offices and hospitals, or in her community, admired her positive attitude and ability to smile during life's most difficult challenges. To the end, she always said that she was in good health, except for one small problem, ALS. Even when it was difficult to travel, she made the two hour trip to Ft. Lauderdale to donate spinal fluid and blood in support of helping to find a cure for ALS, for those who may get it in the future.
The ALS association has been very supportive and helpful during Pat's battle with ALS, providing a power wheelchair, ramps, equipment to help her move when she lost more abilities, and support groups to talk about the challenges she was facing. We are very grateful for their assistance and wish to help them continue their good work and to support thier efforts to find a cure.
Your support will allow The ALS Association to continue leading the fight against ALS in research, advocacy, and care services nationwide.
Home
I can jump
I can eat
I can sing
I can walk
I can move
I can dance
I can breathe
I can talk
I am home
I am healed
I am free
I am whole
I now have
So much more
Than ALS stole
The race has been finished
My journey is done
Please don’t say, “She has lost her battle.”
For indeed, I have won
