This year in celebration of the life and legacy of our beloved founding Director, CCEP has selected The ALS Association as our recipient for our 2025 Bike-A-Thon!  

They are the largest philanthropic funder of ALS research in the world, supporting projects around the globe with the highest potential impact for people living with ALS and their caregivers. Since the Ice Bucket Challenge in 2014, they have committed over $154 million to support more than 550 projects in the U.S. and 18 other countries, with the goal of making ALS a livable disease for everyone, everywhere, until there is a cure. According to the ALS Association, “approximately 5,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year, which averages to about 15 new cases each day. It is estimated that up to 20,000 Americans have the disease at any given time.”  The donations collected during our Bike-a-thon Week will Advance ALS Research and Care.  CCEP will be collecting donations the week of April 8.  We hope you will consider helping us support this organization that is so near and dear to our hearts.

**The preschool class that raises the most money for The ALS Association will get to enjoy a VERY special treat!  Popsicles on the playground!!**  

If YOU HELP US "FILL OUR BUCKET" BY DONATING to our SCHOOLWIDE goal of raising $5,000, by FRIDAY, April 24th, in the spirit of the famous "Ice Bucket Challenge," Mrs. McKinney will VOLUNTEER TO have a bucket of ice water poured over her head in front of the whole preschool... Wearing a headband and all!  NOW WE DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON THAT!

How we will collect donations: If you would prefer to not make financial donations online, please make your check out to "The ALS Association" and we will mail it for you.  There will be a box labeled “ALS Association Preschool Donations.” We will accept donations until Friday, April 24, 2025.
