Why I Run...
I am running the Los Angles Marathon (actually half of it) as a member of Team Nanci to raise money for ALS Golden West Chapter. My friend Nanci Ryder had a long arduous battle with ALS and the services from Golden West were critical to her care. Nanci was fortunate to have more resources than most but ALS deprives one of so much that their are needs you can't imagine. The Golden West Chapter was there for her as they are for hundreds of families in California and Hawaii. They provide all the services free to those families and rely upon support from fund rainsing efforts such as Team Nanci.
One more thing, I am on the Advisory Board of the Chapter and can speak to the incredible efficiency the Chapter emplosy with funds they collect. More than 80% of your contribtuion is used to provide services. On behaf of Team Nanci, Golden West and myself. Thank you.
