Fight ALS.

Dear Friends and Family,

I am proud to be participating in the 2021 Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS coming up this September. This will be my 6th Ride to Defeat ALS, and my third since my father died from ALS.

I will be riding in honor my father, Hardy Jones, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2015 and passed away on December 28, 2016. You can click on the “Team Hardy” link under the picture to learn more about my amazing father and you can read more about him and his artistic legacy on his webpage hardyjones.com.

My father has been an inspiration to me my entire life. He overcome physical challenges with grace, practiced medicine with compassion, created art with joy, encouraged me with love, studied with intense curiosity for knowledge,  modeled what it means to love deeply and life a life without regret, and showed how to die with grace. I have been trying to live each day with his mantra that "today is a great day".

You can support my ride with a donation or you can join “Team Hardy” and help us raise money to find a cure and defeat this disease. Any contribution, no matter how small (or large) will be appreciated and will help fund research into the causes and cures of ALS.

If you would like to join our team and ride (or walk) as an in person or virtual particpant, please sign up by clicking the Register button in the upper left of the page. You can choose a 100 Mile, a 62 mile Lite, a 62 Mile Challenge (what I'll be riding!), a 28 mile ride.

This year we will be participating virtually so that our children are able to particpate (they are not yet vaccinated).

I hope that participating in an event that raises money for ALS will be meaningful for you. We are helping in the fight to treat and cure ALS through global research and nationwide advocacy while also empowering people with ALS and their families to live fuller lives by providing them with compassionate care and support.
