HELLO DEAR FRIENDS AND FAMILY!!
I will be participating in the Golden West Chapter of The ALS Association's Napa Valley Ride to Defeat ALS and Walk on September 24th, 2022. I am riding to help those affected by ALS and to help raise awareness of this disease.
A dear friend of mine and many others, Miles McConnell, has been personally fighting this fight with his family since February of 2015. He was a very healthy, very active outdoorsman and athlete when he was diagnosed. Truthfully, he continues to be a very active outdoorsman and athlete, yet has many limitations. I fully admire his determination and stamina to continue doing as much as he can do, and this event is one example of just that!
The donation does not have to be a lot. I am riding 28 miles. Please consider donating $1 per mile to help fight this fight. However, any amount is so very much appreciated. Below is more information on ALS.
What is ALS?
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe.
