Run to Defeat ALS

Miles for Marsha
ALS is a terminal illness that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. It can happen to anyone and there is currently no known cause or cure.
BUT there have been huge advances in research over the past seven years. This is largely due to the record-breaking amount of money that was raised through the ice-bucket challenge (remember that?!). Did you know that money raised from the ice-bucket challenge led to the discovery of five new ALS-related genes and it helped bring to market one of the most promising new treatments that can slow the progress of the disease?
We are running the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco half-marathon on February 6, 2022 to raise money to support ALS research. Your donation will go directly towards research to understand the cause of ALS and to discover new treatments and cures to improve the lives of people living with ALS.
Let’s help create a world where no one has to suffer from this devastating disease. Any amount will help. Please join us by donating today!
