I'm participating in the 2021 Ride to Defeat ALS on Sunday, 9/19. My team, TEAM HOPE, will be joining many other riders and teams in Wayland to ride various routes. I plan to ride the 50 mile route. Team Hope rides for our friend, Doug McIlvaine, who was diagnosed with ALS over two years ago. Thankfully, Doug's symptoms are progressing slowly, but he is in a race against time as research for effective treatments continues. So little is still known about ALS, and much more funding is needed to study the disease and help people like Doug who are living with it.
The ALS Association provides much needed patient services, funds cutting-edge research, and much more in order to help those living with ALS right in our community.
I'm riding in the 2021Ride to Defeat ALS because challenging ALS is important to me. I'm asking for your help. Any donation, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this!
With much hope, Claudia Worth
