I’m in my 11th year working for The ALS Association and with each year, my commitment to this mission grows. While there are many reasons for this, the most important to me is the families we serve. I continue to be humbled as they navigate this awful disease with grace and courage. We do a lot to help people through their journey with ALS, from providing durable medical equipment, speech generating devices, critical support for caregivers and an expert team of folks who can provide important information. But frankly, it’s not enough. We continue to say goodbye to hundreds of people each year in MN, ND, and SD alone. We can do more. That’s where you come in.
We are seeing great progress in research towards meaningful treatments. In the last year 2 new drugs were approved by the FDA. This is amazing progress! We must continue this momentum. We cannot back down until we bring more treatments to market and pave the way to a cure.
There is more we can be doing in providing access to care, access to technology for folks to stay connected, and improving support systems for caregivers and families.
These are the reasons I’ll be participating in the ALS SuperHero Dash this year. I love the idea of SuperHeros gathering together to work towards a better future for families living with ALS. Are you in?
I’m asking for your help to meet my fundraising goal of $10,000.
There are a couple ways you can help:
1. Register for the event and fundraise for the cause. The more people we have spreading the news, the better!
2. Donate to my efforts. I’ve set a goal of raising $10,000 and every dollar truly matters. Whether it’s $10 or $1,000, it all counts. Any donation is appreciated.
Thank you so much for your consideration!
