In honor of my cousin Renard "Ricky" Ricks who was defeated by ALS October 2014, I am participating in the ALS Norcal 90 Challenge. ALS goal to raise funds and awareness to help fight back against this terrible disease. The ALS Association provides much needed patient services resources, funds, global support, cutting edge research, and much more in order to help those living with ALS right in our community.
The ALS Norcal 90 Challenge, is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency of our cause and to push for treatments and a cure. Every 90 minutes someone is diagnosed with ALS -- it robs a person of the ability to walk, speak, eat, and eventually breathe. And what's even worse is that right now, there's no cure.
