Our father called ALS a soul-crushing disease. Indeed, it challenges the bravest of hearts.
A bright light in the increasing darkness of the last year and a half was the DC/MD/VA Chapter of the ALS Association. This invaluable organization provided everything from thoughtful and expert advice, loaner medical and household equipment, and shoulders to cry on.
