Reid was a loving father, husband and life-long runner who contracted ALS during the summer of 2012. Because of the debilitating nature of ALS, it was especially hard on those around him to see him go from being a constant presence in the running community to being unable to do the things he loved. Even so, the enduring love and support he received from his family, friends, and the running community lifted his spirits and put his mind at ease. He persevered through the symptoms to run his last marathon in June 2012; Grandma's Marathon in Duluth, Minnesota.
This fund was established as a way to honor Reid's memory and to further the research that can hopefully stop or at the very least slow this disease. Thank you for your love and your support!
