Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for continuing to support us year after year in our efforts to cure ALS.  I'm so pleased to announce that the Walk To Defeat ALS was a big success!!  A big part of why the walk was so successful is because Team Project 2-4-20 has raised over $507,000 to date!  Go Team Project 2-4-20!

We could not have achieved this much success without your generosity and kindness.  It’s so important to me to express my gratitude and thank you from the bottom of my heart for making a difference to the people who live with ALS.  
 
It’s reassuring to know that I have the support of so many loving friends and family, both in your support of Project 2-4-20, and me personally. With your help, I know Team Project 2-4-20 will continue to earn the distinction of making a major impact in the war against ALS!

What is Project 2-4-20?

Keith Jones ended his spirited battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) early Friday morning on Jan. 23, 2009. 

The story below was written by Keith when he created Project 2-4-20. 

After my formal diagnosis of ALS in Sept '07, I developed the following mission statement to keep me centered as I beat back this disease....THE INTENT OF PROJECT 2-4-20 IS TO LIVE STRONG AND TO LIVE WELL THROUGH FEB 4, 2020. THE CONCEPT OF MERELY SURVIVING UNTIL I AM 50 YEARS OLD AND 1 DAY IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. LIVING STRONG AND LIVING WELL ENCOMPASSES REMAINING FIT, REMAINING INDEPENDENT AND REMAINING PRODUCTIVE. LIVING STRONG AND LIVING WELL ALSO INVOLVES A HEALTHY MENTAL OUTLOOK, A QUALITY FAMILY LIFE AND A FAITH IN GOD AND CURE. FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION AND SELF PITY IS EXPRESSLY PROHIBITED. The second part of Project 2-4-20 is providing funds for researching treatments and a cure, new equipment for PALS, home modifications, education services, etc. We need your help in this most pressing endeavor. Any and all donated amounts are welcome. Proceeds are collected and put to use through the truly outstanding team members at ALSA. Not only I am thrilled to be a PALS under their care, I am proud to be their biggest fan! Thank you for your donation; know that it will be used wisely and effectively.
