The Ralph Razo, Jr. Memorial Fund has been created to directly help people living with ALS with some of the many expenses associated with this disease. One hundred percent of your donation to this fund will go to directly help people living with ALS in our community.
ALS is a devastating
disease for which there is no cure. It normally progresses quickly taking away a person's ability
to work, to make a living for themselves and their family, and to take care of their own personal
needs, before eventually taking their life.
The money raised here will be used to directly ease some of the burdens created by this disease by providing funds for transportation to and from ALS clinics, specialized nutritional supplements, medical equipment, and any other needs that are identified by the Golden West Chapter’s Care Services team.
Ralph Razo, Jr. died in June 2012 at the age of 49, a mere three years after being diagnosed with ALS. As he suffered through the progression of the disease he stayed concerned for others who were also living with ALS. He has been quoted as saying, "It may be too late for me but it might not be too late for someone else." It is in Ralph's memory that this fund has been created. Were he still with us he would have been the first to donate!!
