Help me raise money to find a cure for ALS!
Welcome to My Fundraising Page
|Date:||Sunday, September 18, 2022|
For the past 5 years, our team has been honored to walk in honor of my husband Dan Jasper, who was diagnosed with ALS in 2016. Dan passed away on March 17, 2022. This year, we will lovingly walk in his memory.
Last year, our team reached our fundraising goal by hosting a neighborhood walk. Our heartfelt thanks to those of you who came, walked, generously donated and visited with Dan. For many, it was the last time you saw him before his passing. He enjoyed every minute you spent with him and was touched by your outpouring of friendship, love and support.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
Our family is strongly committed to eradicating this disease, and we stand with those affected by ALS - those living with it and their families who provide tireless care for their loved ones. The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
With deepest gratitude, we also stand with the Central and Southern Ohio Chapter that provides invaluable services and hope to individuals and families in our local community. We know first-hand the importance of the good work done by this small yet mighty team. Their active involvement in Dan's care helped us to provide him the best possible quality of life while living with ALS.
We hope you will join us for the walk at Coffman Park on September 18th. Thank you for your generous outpouring of support.
