My dad ‘Papa’ was diagnosed with ALS in December 2020 and lost his battle with this horrific disease February 2021.  He went from driving, golfing to wheelchair bound within a matter of months.  Breathing became a struggle and he required respiratory equipment in his last few months. My dad is a Navy veteran which gave him a 50% higher chance of getting ALS.   The local ALS chapter was such a wonderful help to me as his caregiver with medical advice, helping to link up with VA resources, and helping us obtain the equipment we needed for my dads daily living activities.  The local Central Ohio and Southern ALS Chapter is a non profit organization, relying on donations from the community to provide the care that ALS patients and their loved ones need.   Please consider a donation to this worthy cause.
