Dear Family and Friends,
First, let me say that I hope this email finds you and your family safe and healthy. After 2 years of virtual/create your own walk, we are pleased to announce that this year, the walk is back to in person!
As many of you know, our family lost our father in 2010 and our brother in 2016 to this ugly disease. We will continue to walk in memory of these two great men and in an effort to raise awareness and financial support to fight ALS.
This year, we ask for your support once again. Given the current situation, if a donation is not feasible, all I ask is that you act as an advocate in any way you can - even if that just means you spread awareness by telling your family, friends and co-workers that you, personally, know someone that was affected by this fatal disease.
If you do wish to donate, you can either click on the following link or you can copy and paste this link in your browser to donate directly to me:

or you can click on the following link and choose to donate either to Jerry or Marissa :)
Please feel free to forward this email on to anyone you think may want to contribute to this cause.
With the support of our family and friends, Team Del Ohio and Team Del Boston raised $5071.00 in 2021.
Thank you for helping me reach my Walk to Defeat ALS® fundraising goal! This is an exciting opportunity for us to work together to support those affected by Lou Gehrig's Disease and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
Stay safe!
Cheryll
Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer. In the mean time it costs an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
