Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal, and for moving us closer to a world without ALS. Together, we can make a difference.
This is the second year that our team is walking in memory of my mom, who battled this disease with strength, bravery, and grace, for four years.
Since the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge went viral in 2014, more than $131 million has been raised, including over $118 million committed specifically to worldwide research collaborations - funding clinical trials, as well as direct patient services via local chapters all across the country. Our team is committed to raising money to support people here in Columbus living with ALS, and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Every dollar raised gets us closer.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries, and can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of or cure for the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need.
That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS for the fifth year in a row. We've raised more than $7,000 and we ask for your support. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families who need them free of charge. To help find the key to treatments and to a cure.
Thank you for your support.
