On June 12, 2023, the Dr. uttered to my wife Betsy the 3 words we were most dreading: "You have ALS."

After the initial shock largely wore off, our family and friends (and our friend's family and friends) did the only thing that they could -- They joined us in our fight to help find a cure for Betsy and everyone else with this disease.

Part of that effort was to create Betsy's Battalion for the Walk to Defeat ALS in DC on October 14.
