Team Cunningham End ALS
This year's walk is LIVE in Baker Park at 121 N. Bentz St, Frederick. Saturday, October 7, 2023. Walk Check-in begins at 9:00 am and the walk begins at 11:00am. I will walk in person this year, so come join me!
Thank you to all of our support family. Robert is perfect now with the Lord and we are thankful for his life and continue to pray for others with ALS. Thanks to all who helped us get through our days this year.
We want to continue to give assistance to all that are in this fight and those willing to continue to spread the word concerning this disease. Spread the word and help to DeFEET this by praying, walking and sharing.
Thanks to all that may be able to help me reach my Walk to Defeat ALS fundraising goal! The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. There have been medical trials approved and Robert was on one for 18 months. The results were good, but then waned. So, we can't stop trying to improve, lengthen lives and find a cure.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure. New medications help to slow the symptoms for patients all the time.
We can’t stop now. The key to a cure begins with you.
Please consider walking with me or sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease.
Smiles, Blessings and Thank you!
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. To help unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to treatments a cure. Will you join us?
