Sadly, it often takes a personal connection to a horrible disease before we take steps to help out and that is the case for me. My oldest brother, Mark, has ALS and since his diagnosis I've been learning all I can about this disease and in short -- it is the WORST disease you can get.  There is no cure.  It's a death sentence -- most likely within 2-5 years.

This is why we need to support the ALS Foundation as they continue to push for cures as well as research and medicines to slow the progression.  The ALS Foundation has been an incredibly valuable resource to my brother and his family as they contend with life with ALS and they need our support to continue helping.
