I walk in memory of my mom; she smiled in the face of what life threw at her.
I walk for her.
She did what was right even if it was not the easy thing to do. She was always independent and stood for what she believed in.
I walk for her.
She loved and cared for so many people, she was always there for whatever anyone needed. She was always things of ways to make someone's day a little better.
I walk for her.
The strength she had to fight for her family and friends was incredible. She didn't let ALS or the doctors tell her when it was her time. She was there to see her boys become men.
I walk for her.
I am still learning from her and how she dealt with life. I miss her every day, but I am not complaining because I was lucky to call her mom.
I walk for her.

Why We Need Your Help
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages two to five years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer. In the meantime it costs an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to bring help and hope today!
