JOIN ME IN THE FIGHT AGAINST ALS
Event: | Jacksonville Walk |
Date: | Saturday, April 6, 2024 |
Team: | Warner Warriors |
Ann Grace Smith was a classmate of mine during our freshman and sophomore years at Notre Dame Academy (St. Petersburg Catholic High School). She was always smiling, happy, cheerful and bubbling with energy.
Many years later, after she was diagnosed with ALS at age 35, she faced this fatal disease with that same fighting spirit. While waging her battle with ALS, Ann became one of the founders of the ALS Association FL Chapter.
Because of Ann, in 2004, I accepted the honor of chairing the first Walk to Defeat ALS in Jacksonville, FL. Her courage, spiritual strength and determination will continue to inspire me for the rest of my life.
WITH ALS, THE HARDEST THING TO LOSE......IS EVERYTHING
Ann lost her battle with ALS on August 8, 2004. In her memory, each year I walk and raise funds to find a cure for this always fatal disease.
Please help me reach my fund raising goal of $5,000. Even if you can't walk with me, you can play a crucial role in finding a cure for ALS by sponsoring me.
