This year marks Team JP Rocks' 14th year of walking and fundraising to fight ALS!
When my close friend Jason Picetti was diagnosed with ALS in 2008, I felt helpless. But one thing I knew how to do was to organize a walk team to raise funds for a cause -- so that's what I did, and Team JP Rocks! was born in the fall of 2008.
Even though Jason lost his fight against ALS in 2011, we continue to walk and fund raise in his honor. We miss him and we walk in his spirit to raise awareness and funding in the hopes of preventing others from losing their loved ones to this mysterious and senseless disease. Please read on for more information about how your contribution makes a difference. We appreciate your support!

Why We Need Your Help
Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease yet it still costs loved ones an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
