Thank you for visiting my personal page!
In 1985, Sue Worthington asked me to join the inaugural board of directors for The ALS Association Keith Worthington Chapter. I agreed to serve, in large part because I had the honor of meeting Keith Worthington before ALS took his life. Keith's selfless determination to lead the fight against the disease that would claim his life was an inspiration to all of us who served on the original board of directors.
Thirty-seven years later, I am still serving on the board of directors for the chapter, due in large part to a personal hero of mine who lost his life to ALS, my uncle John Duncan.
John and Keith both inspired me with their bravery and determination in the face of a disease that destroyed their bodies, but not their minds and spirit. Their courage in the face of this cruel disease has inspired me to continue to fight against ALS in their memory.
The walk is our chapter's largest fundraising event, and it is the life blood that supports the award winning services and programs that we provide for our friends who are battling ALS, and their families.
Please join me in fighting ALS by making a contribution to my walk team. Thank you for your support.
