WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Welcome back to our AMAZING Team!!
We can't believe it has been almost a year since you all blew us away with your love, support and generosity to help us fight the fight against ALS. The sea of blue we saw that day is forever engrained in our minds. We were the highest fundraising team and in true Parenton form, we are proud to say "We Won" that day!! Thank you all for helping us reach that goal! The smile and memories you made for our family and most importantly our Dad Dog, will be carried on forever.
But our work here is not done! Dad Dog is still fighting the fight and we are reminded every day of where these funds go. Over the past year, we have witnessed two new ALS drugs hit the market, which is truly remarkable in the research world, and we have witnessed first hand the medical needs that are required to live with this disease. We are forever endowed to the works of the ALS association and their strides to help those living with ALS. We would love your assistance again to help fund a way to find a cure so that no one else ever has to hear those letters or that they can find a cure to this grave disease.
That’s why we’re participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS. To bring hope. To raise awareness. To provide resources and services to families free of charge. No one should have to put a price tag on independence and quality of life. With your help, we can work to unlock the mystery of ALS and find the key to treatments and a cure. Will you join us?
ABOUT ALS
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
THANK YOU
Thank you for helping us reach our fundraising goal! Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS, like our Dad Dog's. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure. Please consider joining our team in the Walk to Defeat ALS® or choose a team member from the list and donate to our cause. We hope you can join at Pennington Biomedical Center! We would love to have you there for our Dad Dog and for all those battling ALS.
