I’m walking in memory of my dad (and best friend), David Galin, who we lost this July after living courageously for two years with ALS. He brought laughter, comfort, advice, and beautiful memories to so many lives, and a little extra to mine. Whether it was watching the Yankees, listening to Springsteen, or cooking and eating together, I will always hold close to me every moment I spent with him. I couldn't ask for a better dad, and I'm lucky to be surrounded by so many others who love him.

Just like Lou Gehrig, my dad often said over the last two years that despite facing one of the cruelest diseases, he was the luckiest people on the face of the earth. Looking for light in dark times was one of the countless life lessons he taught me, and I will continue to fundraise for a cure to find hope in the tragic passing of my dad.
