Please join us this year as we walk in Memory of my big brother Sergio DeLuca. My hero. My brother was diagnosed with ALS in 2005 and lost his battle with it on December 23, 2010. He fought this horrible disease for 5 years. We have been part of the walk ever since he was diagnosed in 2005. This is our 17th year walking. This will still be hard for all of us, but I made a promise to him that I would always walk until they find a cure.. Please help by donating. Any amount is appreciated. I wish they would of found a cure before my brother lost his fight, but they are still trying and donations are what keeps them looking. My brothers words are " I kept fighting but I'm losing the battle. HE NEVER GIVE UP, until the day god brought him home. Please join us as a walker on Nov, 13th or sign up as a Virtual Walker. Not a day goes by that I dont think of my brother, I miss him so much, Even though he's not with us, he is always in my heart.

Often referred to as Lou Gehrig's Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of an ALS patient averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.
This crippling disease can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease though support is bringing researchers closer to an answer. In the mean time it costs an average of $200,000 a year to provide the care ALS patients need. Help make a difference and donate or join a walk today.
