Thank you for visiting our Walk to Defeat ALS team! In April of 2022, my stepmom, Kathy Wakeman, was diagnosed with Bulbar Onset ALS. In the few short months since receiving that diagnosis, Kathy has gone through an absolute whirlwind of doctors, treatments, forms, devices, and organizations as part of her ongoing fight with ALS. The ALS Association has been there since day-1 offering every kind of support imaginable to mom. This is a chance for us to give back. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Our team is committed to supporting Kathy Wakeman, raising money to support people in our community with ALS, and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
