14 YEARS of Lehigh Valley Walks! we hope you will consider joining our team on oct. 15th. if you are able to donate to our team, we will be able to help the philadelphia chapter meet the needs of many pa/nj/De people living with als.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Remember, Sarah's situation is not the norm! She has PMA, a form of ALS that is slow-progressing. While she has her limits physically, most patients advance through the stages of the disease way too quickly and don't have time to wait for help. Let's push for more research, more adaptive technology, and more ways to help caregivers keep loved ones at home.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.
ALS can strike anyone. Presently there is no known cause of the disease, yet it still costs loved ones an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. Join the movement to provide help and hope today!
