I am deeply grateful for your support in helping me reach my fundraising goal for the Walk to Defeat ALS(R). This is a critical opportunity for us to come together and support those affected by ALS, a disease that can have a devastating impact on individuals and families.
My cousin Kent battled ALS with dignity, humor, and an unbreakable spirit for 22 years. His journey taught me firsthand the toll that this disease can take on those affected, as well as the importance of coming together to support one another.
ALS is a progressive and fatal neuromuscular disease that slowly robs individuals of their ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS is far too short, and every 90 minutes, another person is diagnosed with this disease.
It's important to remember that ALS knows no boundaries, affecting people from all walks of life. The costs of care are incredibly high, and those living with ALS and their families need all the support they can get.
Your support is critical in helping us make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Please consider joining me on the walk or sponsoring me to support this important cause.
Thank you for your support.
