On October 21st I am participating in the Walk to Defeat ALS. I have my heart set on raising $1000 this year because I’m trying to do everything I can to make my impact on this devastating disease. I have a very personal reason to walk and raise money - I am walking in memory of my dad, Al Kronheimer.
My dad was diagnosed with ALS a few years ago. He went from being an avid racquetball player, someone who went to the gym every day, played his guitar and ministered to folks at a convalescent home once a week, to being unable to walk, bound to a scooter, with his speech, swallowing, and breathing effected. It's a horrible disease, but his faith in Jesus Christ and his desire to glorify Him, even in the worst of circumstances, kept him (and us) going. He fought the battle hard. In March of 2017, we lost him here on earth, but we know he was welcomed into the Lord's presence with a "Well done, good and faithful servant." He was and forever will be an inspiration to all of us!
I would greatly appreciate your support. You can support us in prayer, by donating, or by joining our team and fundraising. Together, we can realize a world without ALS.
