Help me raise money to find a cure for ALS!
Fight with The Wrights for a Cure
Event: | Houston Walk |
Date: | Saturday, October 28, 2023 |
Team: | The Wright Team |
My name is Jessica Wright and I'm a junior at University of Miami majoring in nursing. In December 2018, my Dad was diagnosed with ALS. This will be my 5th year walking with The Wright Team to spread awareness about the disease so that one day we can find a cure.

Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a progressive neuromuscular disease that slowly impacts the ability to walk, speak, swallow, and breathe. ALS can strike anyone, and presently there is no known cause or cure.
That’s why I’m walking. To bring help and hope to those living with the disease. To ensure that no one ever hears the words: “You Have ALS” again.
The Walk to Defeat ALS raises funds to support those affected by ALS and to spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.
Please consider sponsoring me. With your help, we will be able to make a difference in the lives of people with ALS.
