Hi Everyone -

15 years ago (I can't believe it has been this long!) I joined the Cook Team to raise money for ALS research.  At that time, we were walking to honor Todd Cook with hopes of finding a cure for him and others like him.  Now I am walking in memory of Todd, an alumni of OPHS and the son of my friend, Karen Abel, whom I worked with for years at OPHS.  Todd passed away on March 10, 2013.

Additionally, as many of you know, I help organize OPHS graduation each year and help with seating for those needing assistance.  I was honored to be able to seat a mom with ALS in the front row at Kleinhans so she could see her daughter graduate.  It really hit home how horrible this disease is. This experience renewed my commitment to raising funds to find a cure.

Once again I am participating in the walk to fight ALS.  Each year I have raised over $1000 to help fight this disease.  I hope to do at least the same this year.  Our Team has raised over $138,000 over the past years!  That is amazing and it is thanks to you.

The walk this year is on Saturday, August 3, 2024 walk at Delaware Park at 10 a.m.   As always, it is so important to keep raising money for research to defeat this disease.  ​ Please consider making a contribution - no matter what the amount.  If that's not possible, please pray for all those affected by ALS.
