In the month of  November 2023, after almost a year of testing, my sweet husband, Joe Moynihan, was diagnosed with ALS!

If you're  not familiar with ALS. Let me tell you why I call it the thief.

This neurological disease robs the individual of all their basic life supports. ALS takes away their independence-

their ability to walk

their ability to talk

their ability to swallow and eat,

and eventually their ability to breathe..all while keeping their mental status in tact.

While statistic say it is rare, I currently know of 8 individuals within a 10 mile radius dealing with this disease.

It knows no boundaries, sex, race, or age  and we are all fair game.  It's  time for researchers  to find answers.

They do not know what causes it and there are no cures for it.

Without funding, the research will never happen. So Joe and I will walk with family, friends and many others to show support and raise the much needed funds on August 3 in Buffalo.
