whY we are walKing
John Wrobel was diagnosed with ALS in January 2019, after months of right leg weakness and balance issues. The disease steadily progressed, affecting both legs then quickly moved on to his upper body until he could no longer support his head, speak or eat. John sadly lost has hard-fought battle to ALS on February 22, 2021. While we are so happy his fight is over, we know that his wish would be for no one to ever suffer from this cruel disease again. We walk to remember an intelligent, kind, hilarious and driven man. A man who was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, cousin, nurse and most of all- an amazing friend to everyone he met. We walk to support research for a cure. We walk to help fund services and treatments for those affected by ALS. We walk for those who cannot. 👊🏻❤
