Where to Start

Step 1: Initial meeting. Set up a time with Amie Olson or one of our Committee Members to meet with supporting staff and/or executives to discuss your company’s participation. Event details, fundraising strategies, and information about ALS and the Chapter will be covered.
Step 2: Register. Registration can be done online here or via phone at 412-593-4950. In registering for the event, you are agreeing to participate by fundraising at least $2,500 and sending an executive to get soaked in the fountain or hosting your own DIY Soak event.
Bonus: Challenge a peer to join you. Recruiting others is key to growing the CEO Soak and our impact on the ALS community.
Step 3: Fundraise. Start by making a self donation.Next, consider a corporate gift or matching gift from your company. After that, try sending emails to your network and/or staff asking them to help you hit your goal. Use these sample email templates or pull some ALS statistics from here to explain the impact your fundraising has on the ALS community.
Step 4: Get Soaked! All Soakees are invited to a Pre-Event Reception at 11AM in the Wintergarden. The Soak will begin at 12 PM in the PPG Fountain. Please wear business attire and get ready to have fun!
Step 5: Thank your supporters. Thanking your donors will set you up for success for your next Soak. Share photos and videos from the Soak with a note about the impact their gift has made.
