March 2024-
I am so excited to be MOVING again! It's Linda's AngeLS seventh year Moving in Kelowna to support those in our province living with ALS. This team was formed in 2018 after I lost my Mum (Lyn) to ALS. Since that time, my personal goal has been to pay it forward as a way to give back for all the resources, equipment and remarkable people at ALS BC who made Mum's journey better.
The Move to Cure ALS is the signature fundraising event for the ALS Society of British Columbia, which brings together family and friends in support of ALS. People come together to “Move”; be it walking, running, rolling, supporting or being present. Funds raised go to support people living with ALS in BC and the Yukon, and to support research through PROJECT HOPE.
Our goal is to end ALS through creating a world class ALS Centre at UBC. 100% of all donations to the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis of British Columbia will remain in BC to support patient services programs (60%) and research (40%) through PROJECT HOPE.
To date Linda's AngeLS has raised $25,890 in six years of fundraising ~ thank YOU for supporting my cause and goal to make ALS a treatable disease. I will continue to work hard for the ALS Society of British Columbia through 2024 with a goal of $2,500.
With gratitude,
Louise
